The best pizza I ever had. Been going to Romano's for years and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is great the prices are very reasonable the staff is very friendly. One of the best happy hours in town.

My family has been coming to romanos for years and the food has always been great. I usually get seafood from here, and last night wanted to try something different, so I got a steak (filet) ,it was awesome! The sauce you dip it in was soo good,my boyfriend and I were stuffed and still couldn't stop eating it.

We were in Glen Burnie visiting family and decided on an early dinner at Romano's. Started off disappointed to learn happy hour ended an hour earlier in dining room than bar, so we missed it by minutes. The staff could not have been friendlier--they get five stars for dealing with this group ranging from 4 to 92. But the food was average at best. Certainly not cooked with love or inspiration. My chicken parm sat in a puddle of water that comes when spaghetti isn't properly drained then lukewarm sauce is poured over rather than tossing it together to finish. The huge piece of chicken had once been warm enough to melt cheese, the crispy coating may once have had crunch before the cheese congealed, but nothing came to the table hot. It had potential but the execution wasn't there. And the waste.... Servings were huge, but cold and without seasoning. Nobody wanted to take anything home. Romano's would do well to cut portion sizes in half (they would still be unreasonable) and spend some of that food cost on salt, garlic, maybe even--going out on a limb--some basil or oregano stirred into that can of tomatoes they called marinara. It just made me sad. I understand this place used to be an institution, but clearly have rested on the laurels much too long. A good cleaning or removing that dingy carpet couldn't hurt either.

I am sitting in the restaurant waiting for my check. I've been waiting for my check for over 30 minutes. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, and now I can't even pay to get away from here. Here's a recap: We reserved a room for 25 people weeks in advance for a retirement luncheon for a co-worker. We get here and the room is not set up at all. I ask the servers if we can move the tables so we can all sit together as planned. They just stood there and looked at me. So I started moving chairs and tables by myself. I am in a dress and heels. We (as in my coworkers and I) finally get the room situated and we sit. I understand a 25 top is a lot of work, but there was no one else in the dining area and only 2 servers working out room. Everyone took forever. The food arrived cold and several people recover the wrong dishes. A good friend of mine ordered nothing but a soup and he was one of the last people to receive his meal. We did everything we could to make this a smooth transition: called in advance, let them know we were splitting checks, brought cash and everything. Gratuity is included and I usually add more anyway because I was a server in college and understand how difficult it can be, but I am appalled at my experience here. I was hoping to at least have decent food to offset the terrible service, but I'm looking around and there are almost full plates of food, barely touched, and no one is asking for a to-go container. WILL NEVER EAT HERE EVER AGAIN AND ENCOURAGE YOU TO AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE

My family and I have been frequenting customers of Romanos since I was in diapers. Everything about the establishment is amazing. The mozzarella sticks, greek salad, and seafood dishes are ON POINT. I keep coming back for the yummyness that is Mozzarella Sticks. I don't know what they do with them, but they're amazing. On top of all that: I just tried the Cannoli Cheesecake and it was a homemade creamy delectable dessert that I adored. I find myself taking the drive all the way from Baltimore City to Glen Burnie, just to grab a delicious meal.

As a Marylander, I've had fair share of crab cakes. The crab cakes here are absolutely fantastic. Baseball sized! My coworkers and I came here for a lunch powwow and we were seated immediately. The service was attentive and fast. I ordered the "bang bang" shrimp appetizer. Do not mistake this for the bang bang shrimp from bone fish. The sauce is a little sweeter and quite heavy (mayo)? (-1). The best I've ever had: one crab cake platter with your choice of two side dishes. The crab cake was mainly jumbo lump, juicy, little filler but with a whole lot of flavor. I'll definitely be back!

Ate there recently with a group of people. The servers were inattentive and forgetful, twice I was asked what it was I had ordered. I ordered a strip steak cooked medium, it arrived absolutely blue rare. One of our guests had to wait until we were almost done eating to get his entree. Twice I asked the server for another drink and was passed up. Decor is very vintage, highlighted by stained ceiling tiles and peeling paint. Tl;dr: mediocre food and service. I won't be back.

We came to Romano's on a weeknight. I was amazed how packed the parking lot was! The entrances are a bit confusing. There are three sections to the restaurant. The first one I saw, was the take-out pizza section. I didn't peep the menu but I saw a lot of people picking up pizzas! There is a section separated that is called the lounge. I was a little intimidated when I went in there, very loud. As it should be. Tons of people taking advantage of their happy hour prices. We opted to sit in the restaurant portion. It was huge. I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance compared to the lounge. For a Thursday, I wouldn't say it was crowded but there was a nice amount of people. Service was a little slow, our waitress didn't come over immediately, and when she did, she didn't introduce herself. (Having worked in a restaurant, that's a pet peeve of mine.) we ordered a cup of cream of crab soup which she forgot to bring to us. So she brought us a bowl with our dinner. It is a LARGE menu and many different seafood and pasta items. Prices are fair but a little high given the restaurant I thought they were going for a little upscale. However, on the specials list...there was lobster. Whole lobster. For 14.99. That's right. 14.99 (I sound like a salesperson). Can you believe that? I stopped in my tracks and looked around like I had just peeled the golden ticket back on a Wonka candy bar. Had anyone else seen this amazing special? Were they sold out? Are these actually miniature lobsters and they won't tell me? Whatever, I gambled. To my delight, it came and it was huge. It was a little tough however it's February. And I got it for...14.99 I didn't care. What a steal. I'm not sure if they do this every week, (it was a thurs.) But I'm checking!

Excellent service, great food, and a very good atmosphere. Met up with a Co worker for drinks and left there really satisfied. Try the crab cakes. They are the best.

We absolutely love Romanos and have been eating here since 2001. We've never been disappointed with any choice. Highly recommend!

I've dined at Romanos since I was a child and recently came back to this location for a family dinner. Recently I ordered a crab cake and was disappointed by mostly filler in a giant portion. As for the rest of the food offered it is a mix of sub shop quality sandwiches, some Greek, and basic Italian pastas combined with American classics. The interior is roughly the same as I recalled from my childhood and the service was fairly decent. The pricing is the only thing which keeps me from really enjoying my visit. Mostly everything is overpriced for the quality and seems like they need to rebalance / condense their menu options as mostly everything is $20 + and worth far less compared to other eateries. 2 stars.

Went here last night for the first time. Outside the place isn't very appealing but inside gives you a nice cozy feel.. I came here with my family to celebrate my fathers birthday and we had a blast. We sat in the bar room where they had Karoke. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time singing and dancing. I had the chicken penne pasta. It was excellent! Service was great and everyone was very friendly. I will defiantly go back

I LOVE their cheese pizza! A large is just under $10 and it is my favorite cheese pizza in town. The crust is great-the ends of it are a little crunchy and the part under the toppings is nice and floppy, the sauce is slightly sweet, and they use a fair amount of cheese, which they brown a little on the top. I'm only giving 3 stars though because I have eaten in the actual restaurant side twice and have been disappointed both times. They aspire to be this "fancy" restaurant, but they just aren't. I personally think they're a little overpriced for the quality of food. The second time there I ordered a crab cake, and I have to disagree with all of these reviews that say they are the best. They're huge, and mostly jumbo lump crab meat, BUT they are bland!!! So disappointing! If you want the best crab cake, go to G&M on Nursery Rd.

This is an update. Romano's dropped a star, from two to one. What an awful place to eat. There just isn't anything here to lure me back. The crab cakes are passable, but certainly not the best in the area. The Italian food is awful, and the wine list sux. If you are approaching Romano's, just drive on by. Your digestive system will thank you.

Food is mediocre. I rather eat at McDonald's. The bartender was not attentive whatsoever. Will never go there again. The drinks were okay. Horrible service, nothing but older senior citizens eat there. *nom *nom**nom.

I stumbled upon this place by accident. The sign said "try our world famous crab cakes".... so I did and I was not disappointed.... maybe the best I ever had. I also had the creamy crab soup and it was outstanding. I would love to return and try more items on their menu!! Keno in the lounge is a plus. Great food with friendly service....

Romano's is the best place for a crab cake around. PERIOD. The crab cakes are the size of a softball.. huge. I've never had any of the other food there - every time we go almost everyone in our group gets a crab cake. You'll see huge lumps of meat with little filler and they're great fried or broiled. You can get a crab cake and steak, double crab cake platter, and it comes with two sides. Don't eat lots of bread before the meal because you're going to want to save room for your food. You'll want reservations if you're going on a holiday (or even some Saturday nights). I've had mixed service there; sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not.. don't go expecting elBulli service and enjoy the food.

Much like the Olive Grove Restaurant in Linthicum, this one isn't one to write home about. Even though I keep hearing good things about it (see other reviews), every time I go, it is average at best. Service can be spotty at the restaurant, based on how large your group is, the time of day and how busy the restaurant is. But it seems no matter how many times we have a family get-together in GB, we always seem to end up at Romanos...and then we always ask ourselves why we went there in the first place. I've had a variety of food there and it ranges from decent to ok - never horrible and never great. The crab cakes are large and they are full of meat, but the ones I've had are bland and lacking in spice. Pasta is hit or miss, but generally, you shouldn't expect to get hot food. It seems to always come out lukewarm. I'm gonna guess it is a problem of the different dishes getting finished at different times. The great thing about this place? The portions. Sweet Jesus, you can share a dish with about 3 people. Nothing like sharing a ton of mediocre food with a bunch of people, I guarantee you'll be asking for a box at the end of the meal. Then you'll probably leave the box there because you don't think you are going eat that food again. It's the cycle of a ton of "ok" food. We'll probably go back again, just because my grandmother seems to loves it (see my review on Jimmy's), but as for the rest of the family, we could definitely live without it.

Dinner is better when you venture into the lounge. Get away from the crying babies and the feeling the slightly off decor. If you can deal with the bar and the keeno TV's, the lounge is far better option.

The service was good, the food was good. I was there with a large party. I wasn't super excited about it or anything. I had the crab cake and my husband had a gyro which was GIGANTIC. Good, but not worth writing home about.

The quality of crab meat seems to be good but the crab cakes had absolutely no taste the 2 times I have been there. Both times I called ahead and ordered a crab cake sandwich on a roll. Both times I show up and there are crackers in the to go container. When I asked the guy behind the counter for a roll instead of the crackers I got a strange look as If I was at fault. I don't know why they ask you on the phone if you want crackers or bread if they are just going to give you the crackers anyway. It's no fun picking your crab cake up with your hands and having it fall apart as you try to put it on a roll. Timbuktu crab cakes are way better . G&M is too salty and Romanos has no taste. Go figure. I don't think I'll be back.

The food here is amazing and I'm quite the tough critic. The best crab cakes you'll find in MD, hands down. There's no filler, it's all crab! And the cream of crab is delicious. It's filled with real crab meat and topped with old bay. The prices may be on the higher end, but you definitely get more than enough food. I always end up with leftovers for the next day. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to dine at Romanos.

While staying up the street in Glen Burnie, MD, I went Yelping for the best (and closest) crab cake to my hotel. Romano's was listed in the top few and even though the mixed reviews gave me pause, my hunger pains told me to go for it. Since it was after 9:00 pm, I sat in at the bar in the Lounge and had a Yeungling and ordered the Crab cake dinner. The dinner arrived in about 20 minutes with two sides, baked potato and corn. Alright, the good news is that the crab cakes are really good! Lots of fresh, lump crab meat with good seasoning. The bad news is the sides. The baked potato was not quite baked enough and when the bartender brought me another one, he even said that they're not cooked through! He suggested the cole slaw, which I took. The corn was terrible; overly wet, soggy, with a weird flavor. The slaw was edible. The prices for this place seemed decent and the menu had everything on it from steaks to veal and chicken and seafood.

You will not find a more perfect crab cake than this place! My fiance is from northern CA and is now addicted to crab cakes after taking one bite from a Romano's crab cake sandwich. Their cream of crab is also amazing, especially because they put Old Bay in it.

This is THE place to go to for a true Maryland crabcake and yes I am a MD girl. Yeah this is technically an Italian spot but I promise you skip the Italian (its pretty good too, but I am all about seafood) and go for the Crabcake platter for a terrific meal. The crabcakes are huge and without the filling. Absolutely DELISH. This place ranks among my top 2 crabcake spots EVER and I know crabcakes. Oh and don't even think about leaving without a cup of Maryland Crab or Cream of Crab (with Sherry) to get the full experience.
